I've been telling my family & friends to prepare for at least 5 years. They all tell me that I need to get my tin foil hat a rest once in a while.
I'm at least 5 states away from those families & friends. My families & friends near me have been preparing for at least 10 years.

Patera You and James are right on point. I agree with everything that you're saying And I have no plans of changing my mind when they see the SHTF. I Made up my mind the 1st of this year to stop telling them anything cause I was a problem for them that's all I talked about. Oh well my door is closed like Noah's ark.

My compromise is that I have a 'Dumbass Family' box – when I am out at the grocery store & see cheaper stuff on sale (bags of beans, pasta, oats, salt, chocolate, peanut butter etc).. I buy one of those each time and throw it in the box for our dumbass family members who cannot connect the dots and prepare accordingly… I have prepared for a long time.. but I am planning (preparing) to share – from that box – as well..
Honestly, Patara and James…I do NOT feel anything for TARGET! I stopped shopping at Target, once I found out that TARGET DOES NOT SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!
As a veteran, I asked them for the military discount in 2016…The response I got, from the clerks, all the way up from them, to management, to head office… was the exact same…so I am sorry…but TARGET CAN GO TO H.E. Double hockey sticks!!! Just Sayin’

I fear for my children. They are in denial. I cannot support them all. 5 adults & 6 children. I’ve been prepping for me & my husband. Our 24 yr old son has graduated college. He & his dog have come home. He’s an athlete – they eat A LOT! He’s paying but still. It’s so hard. If & when the SHTF I cannot turn away the grands. But my grown children were duly warned & instructed. I even told them that I would teach them prepping & canning. Nope. I’m sad.
I was told today that Walmart is now turning into a buffet restaurant..
Meaning people are eating while "shopping", then leaving the trash in the cart.
Get prepared now… don't wait longer.
I know I will have to face this very thing. How many of you have been in a relaxed setting with friends when prepping comes up someone will say "I don't need to prep we are all coming to yalls house"a then everyone laughs Except Me!
I tried for 4 years to tell people to put things back for themselves. No one would listen, now all those same people know we are prepared. They would have never had a clue but we all cared enough to try to tell them.When I saw no one was listening I laid a back story of "Save your trip to my house we bought land and we are bugging out with a closed group".
