My husband and I were just talking about going to the Save A Lot in Union County (GA). We used to shop there years ago (it’s an hour away for us) and was wondering what the prices were and if it’d be worth the drive. Thanks for sharing what you found.
A Save A Lot closed up in the southwest of PA over the last few years. There are more in the area-ish, but the one that closed was closest to me at 50 minutes away.

Im in Boring Oregon ( between Portland and Mt Hood) We hsd generator wired into the houe for back up power in case PGE cuts off everyone's power to avoid wildfires. Can't even find a big propane tank to permanently hook up to it. A refurbished 125lb $1900.00! They don't deliver or setup. Companies won't Rent tanks to people who use propane as back up power! Luckily it's dual fuel so we can use smaller propane tanks or gas till we find a permanent propane tank.
The save a lot in our area closed last year.. Upstate N.Y. I miss it
We have found some red beans that don't have kidney beans on the package. I'm guessing there is a difference. We went and traded our older propane tanks in for 4 full ones. We don't use it much, however, we used it when we were 3 day without power in the freezing cold here in our part of Texas. Thanks for showing us what the prices are in your area. Blessings.

I don't have a Sav-a-lot anywhere near me and I live almost an hour from an Aldi. I'm stuck with Walmart and one grocery store. One day in March, I took a trip to the city with my daughter and we hit Aldi and Sam's Club. You HAVE TO know what the prices are where you usually shop to avoid making too many spontaneous choices. I plugged all of the purchases into a spreadsheet, with the unit prices at every store, including Walmart for comparison. Overall, minus gasoline, I saved $135, compared to my local Walmart. Not everything at Aldi and Sam's is cheaper than Walmart, so know your current prices! Open the apps and compare UNIT prices before you put something in your cart.
My youngest daughter , now 55 , never would eat Lima beans as a child and still hates them. She is on your side James !! The girls were not pickie eaters.

last year we could not get large lima beans so when I go to the store and find they have some I would get a bag or 2 till my wife told me we had another and she loves them
I’ve watched Save a Lot prices slowly creep up over Walmart prices overall. Even their house brands are a few more cents than Walmart.

The youth of today has replaced the human interaction with virtual. The industry invested in machinery which reduced human interaction. Years ago Farmers bought tractors for half a million instead of that half million going to workers. The half million went into wages towards building the tractor instead of going to people plowing and planting. The farmers buying tractors is actually what created the problem in the youth today.
I was stunned at the maple syrup price. For the past year, I have paid $13.00 for that bottle here in Utah.
