We have a very popular TV Cook in the UK called Delia Smith, she makes a cut in the sponge about an inch from the start of the short end , not all the way through,this makes for a much tighter roll, not that yours didn’t look great

Peeling garlic was never an issue for me. I used to put unpeeled cloves into a jar and then shake the jar. The garlic cloves got peeled very easily that way.
You know what your pregnancy is like me I kinda gained weight all over but really never looked pregnant big belly , until last few months. I gave birth to a 10lb 2 oz girl that we thought would be huge most men well over 6ft tall. She is 26 now barely 5ft mom is me I'm 5 10.

I'm surprised to hear you say that they don't make those Pry a lids anymore because I've seen them on eBay, Etsy, and Amazon, so if that's the case I wonder how they're getting them to sell and for how long they will be able to sell before running out.
I love that you smile all the way through the work and to the very end of your day when you are faced with all the cleanup – and, you're still looking forward to doing it again the next day! Watching you is always a "teachable moment", as they say..something new to learn in every video including the right spirit with which to do all this.
Ms. Becky, watching you cut up the chicken makes me wonder. When you have a hen that has stopped laying eggs do you keep her as sort of a pet or do you dispatch her for food? Or have you not had chickens long enough to have to make that choice? I know some chicken breeds live quite a long life so maybe your hens are long lived. I am just curious. If you aren't comfortable answering this question, don't. I fully respect the fact that sometimes there are questions people don't want to answer.
A little unsolicited advice about the sticky fingers, maybe try getting a washcloth damp for you to barely dampen your fingers on when they start to get sticky from the garlic. Whenever I'm chopping a lot or working with a lot I always keep a moist towel near by just to wipe that stickiness off of my knife or fingers
i make candied nuts during the fall months just for the family to snack on i love them. you should try a barm brack recipe its a favorite of the whole family

Im having problems with those Pur canning lids lifting up and bending out when water bath canning, have you used them too or just have the box?
