VIDEO: Feeding the Catfish in Our Backyard Pond

Feeding our catfish during the day. They are usually night time feeders, but we wanted to try to catch them eating on video. I misspoke in the video and said they will be two years old in October, that is incorrect. They will be a year and a half old in October. Some of them are starting to look pretty nice!

  1. Catfish, what?? Those are some big ones indeed! There is something cathartic about watching animals eat. Curious, how did you source these fish to begin with? Second question, if you may, they dont taste muddy?

  2. Pretty cool! What are you feeding them and how often do you feed them? Do you harvest all at once and freeze or just harvest as you desire some protein? Do you just take them out in a net to harvest? I saw Al with a little net, is that what you use? Sorry for all the questions, but inquiring minds want to know!!!

  3. What about separating that one mean hen from the rest of them, punish her? LOL!! Awesome on the catfish, when i worked on a golf course the reseviour pond was stocked with them, and a lot of other things… No matter what time of day or night them catfish would go crazy on the food!! At night time the bigger cats would come up/out!! Have a good'nnn

  4. I REALLY want to do that with talapia!I've had aquariums since i was 17.We're trying to move and I REALLY want a set up like that.In my saltwater tank that i'm reworking I plan to grow shrimp.
