My tomato plants are so much shorter than yours. Started my seeds beginning of march. Do I need to wait even longer to harden them off? I started to slowly introduce them to the elements, but I feel like our winds are too much for them.

Don't worry about how leggy your tomatoes are just make sure you bury them so that only the top couple inches are sticking out the dirt. I usually use my post hole digger to get the hole deep enough.

Anyone know if the greenstalk planters are really worth the added cost compared to other similar planters? I really want to get a planter like that to add to my garden but there are others I've seen that seem like similar quality for much less. Do the greenstalk ones function any differently? I've heard something about them having a special feature where you just fill it up with water and then the planter slowly waters them the correct amount over time but I've not been able to find any more info on that.

Jessica I feel a kindship with you and your goats. I raised goats for 40 years and each of my goats I had several that I had for many years and they were part of the family. When I would go for a walk the girls would go with me. i would talk to them and they would speak to me like they knew what I said. When I would lose one them to old age it was hard, it was like losing a old friend. I had one goat who wouldn't kid unless she could lay her head in my lap, she seemed to relax and kid. She waited one day until I had come home to kid. Each goat would not come in to the milking room until the oldest would come in even if they were not in milk. They each had a handful of feed and would eat it and out the door they would go.
