  1. When my dad was diagnosed I remember feeling like I could see a huge storm on the horizon. It was coming and nothing I could do would stop it. (By the time we found out he had it there was not much they could do, dad wasn’t a fan of Drs so he ignored a lot of signs for years) I prayed and asked God to hold me and keep me safe while the storm raged around me and I was picturing hiding under something small while the huge storm raged. Instead I believe I heard Him say, “I am the storm, you are safe.” Going through that experience was more like a bird soaring, and being challenged, on a strong wind. I knew things would be ok. (Dad died, but my heart got through it and my son who was my biggest concern was ok too) and I learned and grew especially in my faith through that experience, especially watching him as he got ready to be in the Kingdom and then as he transitioned I could tell that he was seeing things I couldn’t see that were obviously of the Kingdom. It was a beautiful thing and I know I will see him again soon.
It is so comforting to know that the thing we think of as “bad” comes from a loving Fathers hand, so worst case it will help us grow, and best case we get to feel His amazing power.
I am so glad it sounds like they caught your dads symptoms soon enough. I will be praying for a complete and quick healing for him. And even as things go well I pray that you can find joy even in the storm and know that your loving Father has you safe and secure no matter the weather.
    Hugs to your whole family!!

  2. Jess,I'm praying for your dad. You remind me so much of my48 year old daughter who kissed passed from ovarian cancer on March 10. She loved to garden just like you. She loved growing flowers like you.prayers for you all.

  3. Lord, we hold up Jess's Dad and family in our prayers to you. May our God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in him, and that your lives will overflow with the power of the holy spirit through this situation. Roman's 15:13. We Bless you!

  4. Aw Jess those cracks in your voice when you're signing off just break my heart. You and your family will make it through this season of change and come out stronger people. God always has a plan for you! Praying for your dad and family!♥️

  5. Jess and family, thinking and praying for your dear Dad in this horrible time. Believe me I know what it feels like! All my thoughts are with you all, god bless xx

  6. You and your family are in my thoughts. I found your channel last year, and have been enjoying watching all your previous videos. They have really helped (and continue to) inspire me through a very emotional and transitional time of losing my second parent. Prayers and peoples well wishes, and support helped me feel loved, so I am sending those things to you. Your dad having such a beautiful plan for the future sounds wonderful, family close by, and watching his grandchildren grow up…so much loveliness to come.

  7. Where do you get an ole Abraham toe-moty? I haven't any idea and I KNOW… GOOGLE. Well no. I want to know from one I trust. Please forgive me if I sound a bit well crotchety. Don't mean to. I just like trusting another not Google. Please let us know.

  8. I so totally get you when you talk about the AMAZING garden. There is really a lost world out there that pulls down everything we could hold in honest awesomeness. For some of us the garden is a place of unending hard work…. but also a very simple place believers can find their heart, their joy, a bit of satisfaction that God IS HERE. He IS with us, He is still amazing and it IS His world and ALL THINGS ARE AND WERE CREATED FOR HIM. When we get to to be such an insignificant piece of that just lifts my soul to the point I want to raise holy hands in Thanksgiving for such a simple peaceful lovely part of utter joy in HIS miraculousness to catch wrap my brain around the most beautiful awesomeness EVER EVER EVER…. oh sweet Lord the gift of His love and His word in my heart…. whew dear Lord Jessica Sowers sometimes just sometimes you sing our in utter joy of heart and some sweet times it's so hard to stay still…. you feel the dance of spiritual love as David did. Whew….. on knees girl we hit it and can utter nothing but sweet sweet love and Thanksgiving in a place only believers dare to be able to understand. Oh sweet Lord… to see Thee more clearly, love Thee more dearly, sweet Lord oh sweet Lord…. day By day…. day By Day. Goodness what an oldie. I still remember hearing certain songs and being moved deep inside and FEELING MY FATHERS LOVE. Totally UNDENIABLE.
Bless you Jess, Bless your heart sweet sister in Christ.
