Pickings from fruiting and pod-producing vegetables such as beans and tomatoes are plentiful during the summer months, but as summer wanes so can the harvests.
It’s easy to start to neglect your prolific crops when they’re no longer at their peak, but there are ways to extend the season just that little bit longer.
In this short video we share some very simple but exceptionally effective techniques so you can enjoy your homegrown vegetables for longer.

I absolutely love your videos! Í moved to Sweden last year and I've been trying to grow some veggies on my apartment balcony. The climate around Stockholm is really trying me. I got cherry tomatoes and a yellow bush beans. I doubt I will be picking any beans though. Do you have any advice for me? i will be buying liquid fertilizer for sure!
Love your videos, I mulch and pick my veggies every few days, water frequent, I also pick off dead leaves around my producing plants.
Do you have any videos on corn? :3 (not the wheat sorts)
Thank you for the tips – we've been experiencing cool nights all summer (SE British Columbia, Canada) and it would be nice to get at least one vine ripened tomato out of our garden LOL
Hi what part of the country are you all your vegetable plants look amazing i have tried growing cucumber and courgettes outside but no luck.
Looking at perforated leaves on your plants, I presume that you've got a lot of slugs. I have the same problem.
I'm a new subscriber. Great episode on ways to extend your harvest.

Very good video, thanks!
I'm growing yellow crook neck squash and am having a terrible time with mildew/mold on the leaves. Any suggestions?
رائع …. شكرا .
Even though the company sends me these videos in the southern hemisphere seasons, they really don't take into account the extreme heat and dryness of the Australian summer. The gardens in tis video look so lush and green The end of summer here is a desert.
I’m always so happy when I open your videos and HELLOW!! ☺️
Excellent info. I live in south central BC Canada and while it’s never super cold, we get tons of snow. Any advice on dealing with spring snow cover?
