Can I use a plastic tub
U can rub slightly upto a layer and keep in water for a day and next it becomes soft then u can cut it without damaging inner seed for good germination rate. I did this
I hammered 2 seed and filed 2

I never break the seeds. I’ve always put them in warm water and changed the water once a day. Sometimes twice if it’s really cold weather and all of my lotus seeds have germinated 🙂
