  1. CaliKim29 Garden & Home DIY, Great info. First year container grower here. Growing Super sweet 100 cherry tomatoes. The few that ripened so far didn't really pop…sorta mushy. Any tips?

  2. my entire tomater crop is relying on this hack, its the only chance I have of beating the damn squirrels (short of a shotgun and that tends to upset the neighbors these days)

  3. Thank you Kim! My husband and I live in Leander Texas, and last month about two weeks before Christmas, we were about to get our first frost, but had five large tomatoe plants laden with so many totally green tomatoes! We thought for SURE we were going to lose our crop, when my husband found your video. He was "let's try it, what do we have to lose". I was a bit more skeptical. 🙂 So we harvested every last green tomatoe! We ended up using Twelve large brown grocery bags, folded over the tops, and waited. And GUESS WHAT?? You were RIGHT! I couldn't believe it! In about two weeks, tomatoes were ripening, and every couple of days, we were harvesting tomatoes that we sliced right for the dinner table! In fact, last weekend (Jan. 6th), we harvested so many, that we canned four quarts of those babies!! We have just two grocery bags left, and just couldn't be happier! We both want to thank you so much for your tip, and are so grateful that our harvest was saved! So, again, thank you so much from the Bradley's in Central Texas!

  4. Brown paper bags never worked for me. If my tomato is blushing even a little, I put it in the basement in a box covered with a towel. If my tomatoes are still all green (no blushing), I put them against a sunny window and wait for them to blush. Once they blush, they go in the basement in the box covered with a towel.

  5. Thank you so much I'm in South Jersey and Colorado potato bugs are just destroying my plants your video was extremely helpful after Googling " will tomatoes ripen off the vine". Picking all tomatoes today and pulling the plants. Thanks again

  6. They get red but they don't taste the same. I pick them before they get any red blush and  make pickled green tomatoes.

  7. Awesome! I grew my first great vegie patch this year following your videos! And we had our first frost last night and most of our tomatoes are still green. So going to try this trick!
