Interesting choice of seeds. Good idea to put the onion sets in modules first to give them a good start, I suspect you will find a few of the red ones good enough to plant. If not, nothing lost.best wishes with everything, I'll be following your progress throughout. Ps: What's your Cats name?

The cat has such a cute face.
Only 50 odd seed packets? That makes me embarrassed to admit to how many I have. 11 varieties of beans alone. And I grow them all. I grow a summer squash called attune. It is a vine, on trellis, that is nuttier, sweeter and firmer when cooked than the zucchini you showed. I pick them at 3 inches long. Any that get too big go to the chicken.
Cute cat. Good video. Glad to hear that the digging is complete. We really only dig to add compost and turn in ages manure. We dug and sifted the entire garden when we started it. We have Bermuda grass. It is similar to couch grass. It looks to be spring here, 70 degrees today. It will get cold and wet for Easter though, but not frost.
I bought the calabrese after your recommendation so here's hoping they do good things for me too. I will stagger the planting too 🙂
Good update always interesting to see what seed others have, i also have a biscuit tin like that full of seed packets, still looking at getting more, also trying sapro mira this year. is that one of those giant lighters behind you.
Great lot of seeds you have, I have built up so many but do like buying seeds, I have got cape gooseberry seeds to try this year in the garden, I found out that I am 8th on the waiting list so may be a few months yet,
What was the cucamelons like?
You said the mice in your allotment eat your peas – well I have the same problem with mice but I seem to get over this problem by starting them off in modules (off the ground so they can't get to them) until they get 4 to 6 inches tall then plant them out by which time the weather has warmed up a bit. This means the mice have a few more other things to eat and so tend to leave my young pea plants alone. I may just be lucky but this method seems to work for me. Give it a go and if it works then you'll have some nice peas for this year. All the best.
