about how many inches are your kale before you harvest the baby kale?…also how would you package the kale to sell at market?
About to buy a Jang seeder, over in Australia. Have you tried the Johnny's 6 row seeder? Surely that would be quicker than doing 6 runs with the Jang, or is there too much mucking around getting the 6 row working right? Cheers for the great clips!
great info
Curtis, what is your spacing on your plants – I'm getting ready to plant my winter crop and planted it in planter boxes the last time I tried to grow it. My seeds are about 2 years old so hope they will still germinate.
Could you tell me what your spacing is on your kale plants? Also I was wondering, when you start them by seed in the cells, do you put one see or a few and do you thin them to one plant or just plant what you get?
Have you ever tried growing lacinato or the green curly kales as a baby, I've got a juice guy looking for those, says baby are easier.
Do you grow chives? If so, do you sell the flowers as garnishes?
I was hoping you could clear up a discrepancy from your book. Fig 6 (Crop Profiles) & Fig 49 (Seed sowing Density) both have 'Apr-Sep' for when to direct seed. Fig 49 doesn't have a date for first GH/PLT plant date but the crops section (production) says it's one of the first greens you direct seed in the greenhouse; "my earliest seeding would be late February". If you could, please verify the dates from the book, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for all the great Video's and Information!
Hey Curtis, why so small? Does it grow any larger in Canada?
I'm over in Australia and thinking about planting Red Russian Kale but from what I understand they are big leaves?
Very solid information once again, Curtis!
I noticed that my red russian kale was going to seed (it formed a flower heard but didn't open up yet). Can I cut the flower head off and save the kale or is it too late and the kale will taste bitter? Also, how densely are you planting your kale (a seed every 4 inches or so? Thank you.
Hey Curtis, what was the row spacing for this crop and also the seed spacing ??
Is the reason your leaves are so small because you have them so densely planted, plus your choosing to harvest them when they are that small?
Can you direct seed red russian kale in the middle of the summer, say now?
I haven't harvested mine yet I have a lot of questions minor about 6 to 8 inches tall now beautiful red purple how can I seed them out
Curtis, if you are available, I know you got that awesome training going on, but I am confused, I have seen red russian kale that grow really huge. Is it that you harvest them before they get huge? Also, how big are the leaves when you harvest them? The size of the palm of an adult male?
My red russian is getting bigger than what you are cutting there Curtis and I am not sure if I should just cut it tomorrow and market it as baby kale or wait two more weeks and put it in with the lettuce and beet greens as a salad mix.
So Red Russian Kale isn't red?
Curtis, what plant spacing do you use for this crop (and number of rows)?
How much your cut machine? and where i can buy it. i'm froum thailand thx
Hmm may add some to my farm this year, thanks.
Kid in background “ there’s that crazy guy talking to himself about his plants.. again “
how do you keep thieves out of the garden lol
I don't wanna come with the hate, but who da hell does that to a front lawn!!!
How tall should the plats be at harvest ?
That scared the crap out of me when he started lol iv never seen that before
I have basically learned how to farm watching your videos and I’ll say these types of videos are the most helpful.
my man!
Where did you get your green machine to collect the kale?
hey man… ive seen u on owen… dude, the edges of mine get yellowish… i cant figure out why tho… any thoughts?. other greens around them are fine. Not sure if over or under watering maybe?
