I just got my hands on some rosehip seeds and want to plant them on my property in NC. Being German, I miss the sight of red rosehip seeds in winter when everything else is drab and grey. Ah, and the Hagebuttemarmelade, yummy! Btw, funny, you're an American living in Germany, I'm a German living in America. Anyway, great vid; I'll subscribe!
I saw a series some years ago, about children collecting rose hips during the WW2. Especially in GB. this was common and widespread. Much of the crops they picked were then distributed among the starving population to give them their need of vitamins.
Those hips have sure saved many human lives through bad times.
Morning Jay! Maybe you could plant some of those seeds to a new location that might not get burned out or whatever.
I found some large rose hips here and will be planting them in secluded locations so I can have a good harvest on down the road.
those look like some old bushes, some of those canes looked huge. Thanks for sharing my friend.
