Suggestion-Lay a rope on the ground and make your pile on the rope about three feet up from the butt ends. When the pile is big enough bring the ends up and cinch the rope down tight and tie off to the jeep bumper and drag that stuff out. Might save a little work. Good video
Go check out Skillcult's channel. He's using a simple trench technique for his biochar and it's pretty fool proof and does not cost anything.
Cone pit method can be done for biochar and can process as fast as a chipper once you get it going. It can be done for the cost of a shovel.
