VIDEO: Growing Red Bell Pepper Time Lapse – Seed To Fruit in 115 Days

This one took 4 months to make, but it was totally worth it. And the peppers tasted great! 🙂

The plant made a ton of flowers but i removed most of them and left just a few to make sure it would have the strength to grow. Pollination was done with a small paint brush but the flower i was aiming on apparently didn’t get pollinated and died. Luckily there was a couple other flowers in the same shot.

Leave a comment if you want to suggest something for us to grow! any ideas are welcome, even exotic and long ones!

  1. Do I need to pollinate at all or just let the plant be? Do I need to remove some of the flowers or will they die & fall off on their own? Does the type of soil matter? Thank you for sharing this, I'd like to try it… 🙂

  2. Damn, the way the peppers change colour is amazing to watch…
Also, I've noticed quite an uncanny resemblance between the way the leaves of plants grow and the way moths expand and dry out their wings just after they leave the pupa.
If you don't know what it looks like, look it up – it's pretty cool.

  3. wow I have way to many plants givener I bought a red and green pepper from the store and saved the core and dumped one of their contents into a pot well the whole lot came up I picked about 15 out and now I see how big they get I should have Not done that oh well I like free things now what to do with these 13 left might just pick all but two out glad its a nice size pot I have them in now its a guessing game red or green ones still have the other batch have to see what color they are Cool stuff its just to cool….Later Gators!

  4. I planted my seeds 3 months ago to the day, and they're definitely growing, but nowhere near flowering. I just used soil from the yard that I knew was viable and I water regularly and mulch occasionally with used coffee grounds. I'd say the stems look like your plant's on day 37 and the leaves look like your plant's on day 26 (although there are more of them). Anything about that odd? This is the first thing I've ever planted.

  5. Let people then consider their food:
how We pour down rain in abundance,
and meticulously split the earth open ˹for sprouts˺,
causing grain to grow in it,
as well as grapes and greens,
    and olives and palm trees,

    and dense orchards,

    and fruit and fodder—

all as ˹a means of˺ sustenance for you and your animals.

    The Holy Quran 80:24-32
