I cannot wait to get my hands on your book. My birthday is in September, and I asked for the book then but might not be able to wait that long. I have enjoyed this series immensely.
We grew grain, harvested and threw in the hay loft and the mice ate a LOT of it. It wasn't worth all our hard work.
As for farm supply chicks, this trick of older birds for less was how I was able to raise my first flock of broilers. If I hadn't happened upon this, I could not have afforded the project.
