  1. Last time we planted potatoes we had way too many as well. Watching this makes me wish I could do more in the veggie garden this year, but I will be completely swamped with the prairie flowers and grasses already started for our oak savanna restoration. I'm going to follow your straw bale techniques for next year though!

  3. That’s a nice selection of spuds. You are very lucky to have access to some of your neighbour’s space. Potatoes are great in a space in someone else’s yard because they don’t require a great deal of tending to. I had a neighbour many years ago who had a large, unwanted garden in her yard. That’s where my potatoes grew until she was ready to put sod in several years later.
