Grow Chrysanthemum/Gul-E-Daudi/Mums from Cuttings(Fast N Easy With Update Video)
DAIZZ’S TIPS:-
1
Fill a planting tray or pot with 90% sand+10% normal soil. Water the mix and allow it to drain until you’re ready to plant the cutting.
2
Remove a 4- to 6-inch length of stem from a healthy, mature chrysanthemum by pinching the stem with your fingertips. Alternatively, you can remove the stem with scissors or garden pruners. Be sure the cutting has at least four leaves or leaf nodes — small bumps where a leaf emerges from the stem. Take the cutting in the morning while the plant is well-hydrated.
3
Cut the bottom of the stem about 1/2 inch below the lowest leaf node. Use a new razor blade to make a clean cut.
4
Pull the leaves carefully from the lower half of the cutting.
5
Insert the cutting into the moist potting mix. Be sure only the bare stem is planted and that one or two nodes are under the soil. Situate the cutting so the remaining leaves are above and not touching the potting mix. If you’re planting multiple cuttings, space the cuttings so the leaves don’t touch.
6
Place the cuttings in a normally warm room, in bright, indirect light. Don’t place them next to a sunny window, which may be too hot.
7
Water as needed to keep the potting mix slightly moist at all times. Don’t overwater, as too much moisture may cause the cuttings to rot.
8
Check the cuttings for roots in three to four weeks. Look for roots extending from the bottom of the pot. You can also use a spoon to lift a cutting carefully from the potting mix. Inspect the roots and replant the cutting immediately. The cuttings are ready to transplant when the roots are 1 inch long.
9
Plant each rooted cutting in a small container filled with good-quality commercial potting mixture.
10
Return the cuttings to a sunny location and keep the potting mixture lightly moist. Allow the young plants to develop for an additional four to six weeks before planting the chrysanthemums in their permanent home

I'm very thankful to have found this! Thank you for your suggestion of adding rooting hormone to water and soaking for 4-5min. I've watched MANY videos as an avid gardener, and this is my first time to hear that. It makes a lot of sense for several reasons, and I believe it will make for greatly improving successful propagation! I will be subscribing to catch more of your insights in gardening. Very well done, I'll also be sharing this tip when others ask for propagation advice!
Warmly,
Lori in Indiana
Is this process successful in middle September??
Good evening. I followed your method right till transplanting the newly rooted saplings. I find now that in one or two of these the leaves are curling inwards and look as if they are dying. What could be the reason. It’s about 10-12 days since I transplanted them. They are placed where they get the morning sun for about 4-5 hours. Please advise what to do. Thank you.

What if i cut buds does it harm the planta.. the one i bought from nursery didn't have much height bt there were buds so in order to give height and growrh of branches i took out buds.. what will happen to my plant.? The branches are getting longer
Wow that looks like a TEASPOON!
OH GOD, PLZ don't go putting 2 tablespoons in, you'll shock them right away and they won't even make it overnight.
This is un-do-able as it will quickly be absorbed by the plant and be up in its veins much like a humans!
I hope you fix this so as not to confuse people
