VIDEO: Ginger and Turmeric Harvest

Join us for our ginger and turmeric harvest! We decided to experiment with growing turmeric and ginger in Wisconsin zone 5 to see how well these tropical plants would do. It never ceases to amaze me how much you can get away with in gardening when you just give it a try. Come along and see how our ginger and turmeric harvest turned out! Thanks for watching!

  1. I have tried twice to grow ginger from nodules that sprouted off ginger root I bought to cook with. Both times the nodule just rotted. Do I need to order specifically from a seed catalog to get a good start. Would really like to grow some at home. Tumeric, too. Yours looks great.

  2. We are in zone 4 here on the other side of the state — cooler winters but also warmer summers. Wonder If ginger and turmeric would grow here? Can't wait for next year!
