  1. Hi Adam, liked the video especially spearing your camera. Weed clearing is the order of the day though where I have tried it "The No Dig" seems to work. On the sweetcorn the tassels should be black or dark brown. You can test a cob by just peeling back the sheave to expose the corn seeds, not a lot, just a bit, and press your thumb nail into it. If ready it squirts out a milky sap. Talking of thumbs heres a thumbs up. Take care Mike B

  2. Ok, you got me! I was totally getting into that cloud shot, and HELLO, I'm back with ya! That corn is looking just fine! If it is grown with beans and squash all around it, why not some weeds, lol. The one with the brown tassels is worth a little check, I'd say. Often we will open just a bit to see what the kernals look like. Looking forward the the halloween special beet reveal! Think if I sweet talk the new grandfather and honourable Mr. Coleman, he'll cut that huge spud in half and share, lol? Great video, oh master of editing, now get back to those delicious beer! All the best, Ryan:)

  3. When the tassels are a nice dark brown, the corn is usually ripe.

By the way, might as well not weed this late in the game, save to remove the seeds, so that you'll have less trouble next year.

  4. You're doing fine, Adam. Lol. Weeds grow when it's warm and then rains. Just don't allow them to set seed, is all. Nice crop of butternut squash though, better than mine. What variety of sweet corn are they?

  5. I was starting to doze watching the clouds but I am wide awake now. Thanks Adam. Your sweet corn looks ready to eat so enjoy. I like to say "They are not weeds. They are wildflowers." Cheers Dave.

  6. Hi mate- loved the time lapse at the beginning and you definitely got my attention! Corn cob with the dark brown tassels are definitely worth a try. Make sure you pick it before the birds or rats get it as they have decimated my corn! I've got some beetroot growing and am saving the biggest for your Monster Beetroot challenge. Take care. Nick

  7. Great update Adam what really getting into the time lapse video lol !! Great job with weeding the pumpkin bed, God I hate weeding lol !! Fabulous potato reveal !! Don't blame you at all for not weeding the sweet corn bed !! Thanks for sharing and happy gardening

  8. Hi Adam, I've been slowly working working my way through all your videos, I've noticed you've been getting younger.! Anyhow, great clip, short, but nice, extra water should help ripen them up.

  9. Feeling your cobs might not be the best way to check on firmness.  Peeling back the top and a visual inspection might be a bit more revealing as to how suitable for plucking (your cobs are).

  10. Oh! I get it now. After reading through the comments I realize that the start was not an ad but the start of the video, I skipped through it initially but then went back and took in the ambiance. Wow. zzzzzz.. now where were we? Ah yes.. The pumpkins? I reckon you have more chance of being bitten by a daffodil than you do of having a decent sized pumpkin come All Hallows' Eve, but time will tell.
The butternut squash looks delicious, superb. You certainly have to show all 1.7k of us subscribers exactly what it is you do with them, it would be very interesting. The corn bed mate? Leave it as it is and go buy yourself a pack of frozen peas.
