  1. Hi great video. I read somewhere that you shouldn't walk on raised beds as it disturbs the micro organisms? If my beds were narrower would that help me not walking on them. Thanks again

  2. Seems like the black plastic would keep moisture out, making it less inviting to worms. I know it would minimize moisture loss, too, so maybe that's enough to keep it moist enough for worms? I think I'm just gonna use a thick layer of barks or wood chips. Won't keep it as warm, but will allow rain and snow melt to seep in.

  3. Being American (from Cape Cod, Mass) I love the accent. But have to admit, i had to go back a few times! The plastic trick was great. And i will use it. Cheers,

  4. Love your channel. Here in Arizona, U.S. I use coconut husk and compost. Black in Arizona creates so much heat. You want protection from the 120 degree sun we have here.

  5. Hello, i have some soil in all my raised beds, which is not so fertile. I am planning to top it with organic compost and transfer my seedlings/ saplings into it directly. I am planning correct? please guide.

  6. I really can't see any advantage in using raised beds, to me it seems like a lot more work and expense. And a reduction in your growing area over the traditional allotment system of rows.

  7. You don't need to remove the weeds and put them into a compost pile. Just put them up side down and they will decompose right on the top of your raised bed! Composting is absolutely unnecessary.
