  1. You have been so helpful and nice with your advice and encouragement with growing tomatoes, I have a problem with one of my plants that maybe you can help with. It is a caged indeterminate and in the last week all of the blossoms on the upper part of the plant have "died" and the blossom stem right up to the joint turns yellow and falls off. The lower blossoms on the plant are producing nicely, and this is unique to this one plant of same variety of others that show no such symptoms. Any ideas?

  2. Hi. Thanks for the videos. I have roma tomato plants that I planted months ago. The plants have grown well, but the tomatoes are growing slowly and have never turned red. There are probably 37 tomatoes on the plant in all different sizes, but all green. I have never been able to pick a ripe tomato off of the vine. Do you know why they are still green and don't seem to ripen? How long does it take a tomato to ripen on the vine? Thanks for the help.

  3. Luke, Didnt you have more var. to taste? like bk Seamen, a green type, and a zebra?
*I appreciated all the work you did in the test, I just thought you were gonna do another one with 10 more varieties, or didnt you grow 20?
signed dazed and confused in NY : )

  4. I came back to this video when I was choosing tomato varieties for 2013 – I'm not sure you realise, ananas noire is french for "black pineapple" – but you also have a "black pineapple" tomato 🙂 I think you grew two of the same varieties just with french/english names 🙂

  5. Next time can you make 2 notes with each of the tomato name (one for normal and one for salt).
Put the notes above and below the list of tomatoes so you can take at the end a shot with your rating of the tomatoes and we won't have to rewind the video to know which tomato is which.
Thanks. (and yeah I know it's an old video)

  6. The tomato you refer to in your taste test as Big Rainbow is not a Big Rainbow.  My guess would be Black Krim or Cherokee Purple maybe?  Big Rainbow is yellow with red streaks; similar to the Hillbilly tomato but with more red streaking.  It is extremely sweet and mild.  A real favorite of mine.

  7. I know this is older, but I don't know if you've done similar since then.  I just kinda wish we could have seen your facial expressions as you were trying them.

  8. You can't be a tomato lover and refer to the amount of goo at the same time. Psychologically conflicting attitudes. Either love them or be repulsed, doing both simultaneously isn't working. There is no "goo" in an unspoiled tomato.

  9. Hello Luke! If you see this, I was wondering how your field plants did!
How was the watermelons, pumpkin, butternut squash that year? (:
Does the grass grow thick and the melons get buried in grass?

  10. OH MY . you have been doing this for a while . that's wonderful you have done what you love ! .congrats hun I have been getting my seeds from you guys and will continue thank you for making it possible to afford good seeds .
