I have had to come to terms with letting go of ever having a mini farm or homestead life as there are so much building go on here. 60 to 100 homes going up directly across the street. We are currently living in a construction zone.

As a dreamer and a giver, I have related so much to your words. I am in that season of finishing up a degree, renting a small basement in the middle of the city with dreams of children running through the yard chasing chickens. I dream of the farm we will own, the food we will grow, and the life we will make. I was brave enough to start a business in photographer this year as a side to my degree career and I now see the potential of growing it into a successful side and possibly full time job that would give me flexibility in my work life. It is difficult for me to appreciate how far I have come already, and your words remind me to be grateful that I have one degree already and almost a second, a successful first year of business, a loving partner and a beautiful extended family, we are not hungry, we have a roof we can afford, and our life will work out in the end always. Sending my blessings to your beautiful family!
