This video shows how I built a new trellis support for a mature dragon fruit vine after the posts had rotted and the plant fell over.

Woof !!!
Any place to buy a metal trellis like that?
Well put together! You covered everything I had been searching for to espalier this plant. I like the look of the wire cloth much more than the post and tire method. Do you have a video on training dragon plant to produce maximum fruit?
Hi mate, thanks for the information, just to give you a detail that you could consider, the name in America is Pitahaya

Hi Mark, Great advice and demonstration, Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi great video
QUICK QUESTION:can i do this on a wall
Please I really need your help
Grow green prickly pears in your prickly patch.
Mark, has this withstood the test of time? I made one like it but want to know how well it works, before I attempt to move my old plant onto that trellis (the one it was on broke).
Thank you looks great. So presentable. I just bought a dragon fruit plant NOT knowing all it entails. Wish me luck. I do intend to eat dragon fruit from this plant.
Woodglut has a lot of designs to choose from.
Do they need direct sun or will they also fruit well in a fairly shady position?
I used madre de.cacao trees and other fruit trees like mango, jackfruit, soursop, pomelo.,rambutan etc. as trellis for my dragon fruits. Two of my df plants were toppled down by typhoon last month. Now, what I do is pruning the branches at the minimum so as not to put more weight on the trellis. You can see my dragon fruit plants in my small gardening channel. I have 16 varieties including the australian golden yellow variety.
I love this idea! Thank you, for sharing! I'm in southern California and am definitely going to do this!
Looks interesting but how good it will be for production,? Give it a bit of time and then expect others to follow since you have used a lot of 'will' in your talk.
Can you grown dragon fruit in a pot as we are in a rental home ?
