  1. Thanks for the video. I built a big potato tower and was vey disappointed in the results. I just thought I planted the wrong variety. I won’t waste my time with that anymore. Thanks again.

  2. When we lived in AZ (25 years ago) there were orange trees that would be growing in the parking lot areas of malls or office buildings etc. and I heard people say the same things (that your purple basil people said). Most of these were sweet oranges but some were ornamental which are sour but certainly edible.

  3. 1.Adding baking soda in soil for tomatoes
    2. Red mulch ripens tomatoes faster
    3. Gardening is expensive
    4. Potato towers
    5. Ornamental edibles are poisonous and not edible. (purple basil, variegated sage etc)

  4. Made me laugh as each myth was being talked about. How can some people be so full of it? NEVER heard of these things before. Just as bad as the myth I heard as a kid about bats (the flying kind of course) liking to get tangled in women’s hair.

  5. I would enjoy a part 2. You are helping me to apply critical thinking skills to gardening and the gimmicks that are sold for gardening. I greatly appreciate the knowledge you share and the way you share it. Thank you for your efforts.

My mother was told that she could not plant her strawberry plants next to other plants such as tomatoes or they would become poisonous. I had never heard that before. So far, I have not found any weight to that claim.

  6. Could a tomato tower work if the top of the plant went out the sides, and you plant more and more seed potatoes thoughout? Like layers of seed potatoes just to save space? Maybe in laundry baskets like some people do?

  7. The potato information is really helpful. I'm growing those right now, and most of the tutorials said I would get more potatoes hilling them. Not just root support. They said the potatoes would turn green if I don't hill as well.

  8. Just signed up for an account on your website, nice vegies. Will be ordering. But the seeds are not 99 cents. They are 2 dollars and up. And oh I will not be purchasing the potato tower I was looking at on Amazon. Thank you for saving me from wasting money on stuff that does not work.

  9. I've always loved the looks of ornamental pepper plsnts..so pretty but wouldn't buy one because I was afraid someone would eat one and die. I'm going right out and buy one!

  10. Thanks dude. I started gardening 2 years. I highly recommend for everyone to try it. It’s relaxing to the soul and even better when you eat what you grow. It’s a good way for kids to appreciate nature. You’ll make mistakes, but that’s like with anything you do. Appreciate it man for all you do.
