VIDEO: Grow The Best Garlic, But Harvest It Properly, and Preserve It Right!

We are big fans of Alone and the first couple of years were filmed near you so I like to see the scenery when you are taking your walks.
Thanks! We are going to try freezing ours that we harvested a couple of weeks ago.
Found the video very interesting. Just wondering when you do thaw the garlic out, does it get at all soft and mushy like some other veggies do? I never froze garlic before but will definitely give it a try!!! Thanks
My bad. I could have sworn you had a video showing how to store your garlic cloves in the freezer until it's time to plant them again. I followed that video exactly and every single clove died. I lost 21 big fat cloves of Russian Red Garlic. I was bummed and reflected that it wasn't wise for me to have experimented with all the cloves. I've tried to look back through your videos and can not find it so maybe you figured out that it didn't work either. I'm well on my way to growing more hardneck varieties of garlic so it's not the end of the world. Sometimes the lessons learned are more valuable than the produce lost. I have enjoyed going through the garlic videos again.
You are fun to watch and learn from. Why do you store the garlic in small containers instead of say, quart containers?
so you are on southern Vancouver Island?? in 1989 we shot an archery tournament there at Duncan the club was cowichan (spelling?) bowman. we were there for a week beautiful place. We came back Nanimo ferry.
