Part 21 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. While on the northern peninsula of Newfoundland, we heard about a humongous iceberg that could be seen from the shore. We asked for directions at a nearby campground and two gentlemen who happened to be there, offered to take us out onto the water to see it up close. We then encountered a humpback whale, and ended it off with a glass of rum on ice… ICEBERG ICE!

hey guys, been watching for a while and love the videos… if you are going east towards St. Johns make sure you stop into Skipper's Pub in a small town in central Newfoundland called "Badger" and say hi to Mike and all the Bennett clan from their sister Gerrie and husband Darin! Ask them to "screech you in"! haha and video tape it for youtube!!!! Safe travels!
A real adventure.
That Iceberg at 6:00 looked so magnificent
You guys are SOOO LUCKY, ENJOY! And Thank you for sharing your adventure…..
#200 like 🙂 pretty awesome video, thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Good ole down home hospitality!
Breathtaking adventure! Thanks for sharing…
There's just so much happiness and contentment exudes from this episode, it's truly cathartic. A few things came together to have such Heavenly serenity. A) You stopped for a day to relax and truly take-in the Divine beauty of the surroundings. B) You had an unhurried marine excursion with two fantastic local guides, who were full of folksy humor and wittiness, what Newfoundlanders are famous for. The departing drink with real, natural ice (perhaps multi-thousand year old glacier ice), was really 'the icing on the cake' so to speak. Are you aware, that there are people, who spend tens of thousands of dollars, in order to subscribe to exotic adventure tours, after savings for it for a long time? You've showed to your viewers, that it is possible to accomplish that, on a shoestring.
What a great day – thank you for sharing!
That was simply incredible!
I may never get the chance to be that close to an iceberg… I thank you for sharing that experience! Wow!
Your whole presentation is great – what it lacks in camera expertise you make up for in being real people. Good people. Fun to watch. Great eye. Great relationship, nothing phony about it.
Keep up the great work, guys! From a fellow Canuck – Dave
That was special…it must have been great to see that up close
Happy you had a good time on our island, the best place in the world!!!!
I'm really enjoying your vlogs! I'm in St. John's but my dad is from L'Anse aux Meadows so seeing these sights is very sentimental for me, so glad you got to see icebergs up close! And those whale breaches! Nothing like Newfie hospitality! Seems like you really enjoyed your trip 🙂
Ohhh man. The memories I have from this place. Did you take the boat out from L'Anse aux Meadows? Newfie hospitality is unrivaled.
That was AMAZING! We are preparing for our full time RV adventure and, except for the tire incident, are hoping to do almost the same route. So for now we are living through your videos. Thanks for sharing. Cathy & Tony
after following for a few months and watching videos in a random order I just started at the first and watching all I order. you guys are awesome and fun and come across as down-to-earth and real. it's great to watch your adventures.
I always wanted to go to NEWFOUNDLAND but………I don't speak the language.
It's seriously the only place I havn't been in Canada.
Best video I've watched in a long, long time. I really felt like I was there. Incredible 🙂 Just beautiful.
EVERCLEAR…… LOL! That's not rum. Everclear is the strongest liquor by volume that you can buy. It's almost (or might even be) 100% pure alcohol!
After biting into a piece of the iceberg…. "that's cool" ! Love it!
Great shots of the Whale… obviously he is employed by Samsung……. I'm riding my motorcycle along the route you took in a few months. Hope there are still a few bergs around when I make the trip.
the iceberg taste salt?
That was the best video so far of your trip. What a wonderful day for the both of you. Newfoundland is a beautiful province – I've been fortunate to go several times. Recent subscriber and we are really enjoying your videos from southwestern Ontario.
The largest part of the iceberg is on the bottom
I didn't watch this video cause I thought, I know icebergs but today I watched it and I don't regret. A very beautiful video. And also I've learned about the blue lines and how nice are these people there.Thank you both.
magic !!
Thank you for this, ive never seen the clear line before. Ive always wanted to see an iceberg but lived southern NS and never ventured past pei.
Iceberg ice is the best in the world for in your beverage. Lasts a long, long time!
