What did I learn this year?

Description:
I have always been a very independent person. It boggles my mind how someone could be satisfied being totally dependent on a system, a government or another person. To me, for an adult to be totally dependent is the equivalency of slavery. My life is simple. I do not need the intricate technology that marketing “experts” have convinced so many that they must have and neither does anyone else. There is nothing wrong with technology. After all, I have a computer. However, there is something very wrong with allowing yourself to become a slave to it. If one wants to be free one must return to the basics and one must, once again, think for themselves. You will find videos made by myself and playlists consisting of videos from others to help you become self sufficient. I am also re-learning. I forgot much over the years. Please comment on my videos so I will know if I have helped. Please comment, add info and send video responses.
Lessons learned this year. Will begin another short series next week on developing my strategies for next year.
Start of a series to challenge your mind. What do you have? How can you use / re-use it? Recycle! Use what you have! Think about it! Don’t feed the beast!
Thanks to http://www.youtube.com/user/Reallybigmonkey1 for giving my daughter the inspiration to beg me to make a tent. I’ve been wanting to do a series on quick poncho hootch configurations and thought that it would be nice to start out with a vid of my daughter making her first attempt.
Showing the results of a short term storage experiment.
Spent a week in Austria hiking and teaching my daughter about nature. Loved the sunrise and the next day set up the camera on a tripod. Didn’t have a timer feature so stood there for 1 1/2 hour taking a picture each minute. Clouds began to come in and had to cut it short.
It grew from 3 inches to THIS in only 5 days!

My homemade solar dehydrator. Great idea but I must make some modifications.
Update! Almost time for harvest. Discussing successes, failures and problems.
Some of the potato plants began dying off early so I dug them up today.
Our best friend has come to the end and we must say goodbye. Arthritis has been a problem but now he has developed growths that are increasing and spreading so fast there is nothing we can do. He hasn’t been able to eat well for several days and the growths have now spread into his…
This a general overview of my garden patch in the orchards. I’m still not very comfortable talking to a camera but I hope this one is better than the others.
References for this can be easily found all over the internet and they all say much the same thing that I have presented in this video. I spoke primarily over vegetables but this remedy is also used on flowers that are susceptible to powdery mildew. In the future I will save my references to place…
Just an overview of my garden. Plan on making more with detailed info of what and why I am planting. I hope some of the things I am doing may help others and I welcome suggestions and info from others as well. I want my videos to be a place where all can learn together.
Many are my own design and the photos were taken in the beginning stages. I don’t have photos of the refined designs. Many are from events and restaurants that I worked. I don’t do the clown character anymore because I developed a sensitivity to the greasepaint and my face now cracks and bleeds in only…
