Well, if it were a really worn out trash can you could cut in in 6 to 8" strips or rings and place it vertically in the ground around flowerbeds to keep the weeds from encroaching.
I enjoy seeing people working outside the box and using items that would otherwise go in the trash or recycle bin, especially plastic items as they seem to last for eternity.
Thanks for starting this. I'm always looking for ideas myself.
