  1. I drilled some holes in a 10 gallon bucket and threaded my extension cords through it. Keeps the electrical stuff nice and dry. I have lost power twice and both times, everything recovered very nicely. A couple of weeks ago I unplugged three towers deliberately to clean them out. It rained every afternoon. Three days, later, the plants were still going strong! Had to laugh at that one!

  2. Hey Jeremiah,

Thanks for the response! I have a lot of 5gal buckets that I'll hack together a solution with. I'm definitely the type that has to learn from mistakes rather than just…think things through sometimes :p

  3. I have one tower so far, in florida, keep it in my screen room but had a friend that needed a home for a rabbit, needless to say, this is not working out! anyway, rabbit will be leaving and I have to replant my tomatoes. Lettuce this time of year is sagging, I would like to know how to hook up to solar, say if you had 5 towers in a circle hooked to solar, how much would you need. all the self made systems are cool, but just as expensive to make, so I would rather more gardent towers with solar.

  4. Sorry to hear it! I don't have the same rabbit problem that you do luckily. Lettuce has a difficult time in full sun, so I try to plant my towers so that the hardier plants get most of the sun and the leafy greens stay on the shadier sides.

  5. Excellent video and information! There are a lot of things to keep track of with hydroponics. I've been doing very well with greenhouse and indoor hydroponics but I've only done some cherry tomatoes outside. They were adequate. I need to improve on the outdoor stuff. I subbed and added the video to my playlist Thanks!

  6. I firmly believe on the main concept of these ideas. Outdoor hydroponic is a systematic way in terms of growing your favorite plants. Aside from it as very easy to maintain, this will help to keep our environment green!
