I'm vegan and I try not to use any animal manure. I stick with plant based composts like cotton burr, composted leaves and trimmings, and mushroom compost.
Nicely done Huw!
Happy Thanksgiving.

In the bucket do you compost the manure? It might improve the manure faster if you composted it. Straw leafs or wood chips make it even faster. This should limit the burning and improve the nutrient availability. Here in Alberta for live stock producers it is the law to compost the manure and it is then often used on crop fields ! Great video keep it up !
Very helpful and much appreciated.
Three tiny rocks on the edge of your raised bed. Are they for luck or is it just one of those things where you were too lazy to throw them away? 🙂
Good eyes Ray !! Good eyes !!!!!
chickens are omnivores.
Your videos are always interesting and thought provoking. I have taken my second year of grape vine cuttings which I learned to do on Jan 1st each year.
I eat meat and i spray my own shit on the leaves of my plant and they grow massive! Kinda taste like poop though
I got a natural source of horse manure from my wifes uncle next to us.
90% is dried.
