Idk i think some tend to overthink the worm composting process. Im no expert but i built a compost bin out of old pallets last year. Ive just been throwing grass cuttings and vegetable waste into it, not even turning it over. However day before yesterday i decided to see what was happening so i turned a portion of it over 1 fork full…its was a seathing mass of red wrigglers in there literally 1000's of them lil hungry sods everywhere!!!. So many worms it was like a wormageddon invasion!.
How old is the horse manure and are you mixing in hay or straw with it? I want to keep worms because like you my little compost pile can't keep up with need.
Looks fantastic! You seem to be harvesting quite fast from start to finish. Your plants are going to be SUPER HEALTHY this year. I hope your new property is going well and that you aren't working too hard. Pace yourself so you can endure the growing season. Smiles, Lark
They look good. I love to see people doing worm bins even though here they grow naturally. I had to cover the top of the outside raised bed because the dogs a especially the chickens would go in and eat the worms. Great job.QUIcKIE 1
Boy Jay, those worms look really healthy and happy! I love the hoarse manure that you're using for your bedding. I would like to try that as well when I find a good source around here, I'm sure the castings will be much more rich and full of nutrients! Well done and God Bless brother!
Wow, you have a lot of worms going on there! Looks great. Looking foreward to the update about this worm bin.
All the best,
Halvor.
they say worms are the best thing for a garden

That's a good amount of worms, and they are very vigorous. They must like that manure!
Wow
My chickens would go nuts.
What is that yellow looking worm food you added?
Can't wait to see the progress.
