I had a banana tree with a bunch of young bananas damaged by strong wind and this shows the bananas ripened prematurely but how do they taste? Plus, a little bit about banana tree growing in the backyard… Blog: http://www.selfsufficientme.com/

How nice to grow your own! I have to buy those about every week! It gets too cold here in Virginia (US) to grow those outside. And I do like the lessons – that always seem to be in nature. In spite of the storm damage – there was still something sweet to find! 🙂
TOO COOL… Thanks for sharing.
That worked out good, Mark! At least they got big enough so it wasn't a waste. I grow banana trees, but they don't get a chance to produce before the frost comes : (
I would love to grow one. I tell ya banana from the tree taste better than the ones you buy from the shop. We used to have a banana plantation when I was young.
It's funny but my banana tree doesn't produce any fruit at all !!! Ha ha ha !! I love those little gems you saved !! Great size for a lunch box ??
We call those bananas Guineitos. They are small but very sweat. They are delicious. My grandmother used to grow them. Now we grow the normal big one. We also grow plantains. Great video. Loved and Subbed.
Nice! I wish I could grow bananas here in Minnesota 😛
