Anything grew on it? And what you do at end, after harvesting?
thanks that is a simple setup. But will not the worms drown if you irrigate it with water? How is it doing now? Any changes your recommend. ? Saw a similar system but has a faucet drain in bottom for the excess water and can be used again to water the barrel.
How is this any different than putting it in the ground with all of the this dirt especially with worms

can you put a cap at the bottom of the PVC for stabalization and the direct leak?

PVC pipe is supposed to have poisons in it that can leach into the soil….

Nice idea but problem though is that the trash bag that you used is not food grade and has tons of toxic chemicals.
How do you water this? Is overwatering a problem?

How is watering? Now ,Uc water do you use when there is no drained?
Could you use wide stove pipe as the inner core Luke?
Might want to put it on a wheeled plant stand for moving and following the sun?

This is so great and I want to make a few. You used food grade pipe, but what about the plastic bag leaching chemicals? Anything else safer to use for that?
Love the idea but it is not organic — the plastic container and pipe are petroleum-based products. If you used very large baskets or very heavy cardboard, it would possibly be organic.
Do you still use this planter years later?
you could put a heater in the middle, and then maybe u can grow in a colder climate? (it wouldnt give more light, but it would give you the heat) also would be cooler if it was as tall as a man.

How do you keep from drowning the worms when you water?

I think this is a cool idea but I would think the bottom plants would drown because of no drain holes.

The bucket is food grade. Which is great for organic gardens. But what about the black plastic bag?
