  1. I am lee from Turkey Hollow Homestead I would love to see you do the video on different types of Homestead for instance we here at Turkey Hollow we do grow gardens we do can we have some farm animals chickens Ducks turkeys peacocks but our animals are not used for food they are valuable members of our family so you can Homestead without slaughtering animals

  2. I really enjoyed this video. I have started my "homesteading" type lifestyle earlier this year (spring of 2017). Very exciting to finally be like my family. I come from a long line of farmers. Thankfully the green thumb has passed down somewhat. I have checked most of these books out earlier this year, and I agree that they were absolutely GREAT!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. !!! Just gotta love how much technology we have now. Being able to simply type something in and find support and information. Best of luck, and cannot wait to see more.

  3. Here's a question. Facebook? I can't figure that out. Once in a while I'll get on my kids' fb and look at photos. That's all I can figure out. Oh and I did find the log out button. But that took 2 years. You tube is easy, although it took a year to figure out how to leave messages. And "like".

  4. I like you 🙂 you are sincere and honest about the mindset of sustainable lifestyles! We moved onto 5 acres of rural, lush land 3 months ago and Im thrilled to 'finally' be able to live in a way that has always felt right to me 🙂

  5. love watching your videos! I am a disabled senior living in a small town in the desert, I have 2 chickens 3 ducks and what i lovingly refer to as my "bucket list bucket" garden. Every bucket, basket etc filled with dirt and a plant or 2. I have been canning for most my adult life and just getting into dehydrating. Do what you can with what you've got. I have learned so much more watching you, thanks!!! Working on buying two acres in the "country" (still desert) so I can expand.

  6. I live in an apartment right now and I’m gonna grow carrots and potatoes in tubs in the spring and can them. If I can afford one I’ll get a columnar apple tree to grow in a container on the balcony (look them up they’re awesome). I wanna move to a house but I was really excited that I can garden before then too

  7. Before I take the leap for a homestead, I have been practicing with different vegetables, with very little luck, so that means I must improve. When is a good time to harvest things such as tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers? My plants are on the small size and I am worried that keeping them in the ground longer will cause rot. Any hints? Thanks.

  8. "Lets say something catastrophic happens " … watching this in fall 2021. Just found your channel last month and trying to catch up on everything you've taught. Thanks so much!
