Hello: I could tell you had a rolling fire. I love your mixer. It reminded me of my green Hamilton Beach milk shake mixer my grandparents bought in 1952 when they opened a drive in restaurant. I could take a bowl of the cobbler right now.
Loved your video! I called my mother after the snow storm hit Missouri to see how she was fairing. We got to talking about woodstove cooking and the art of it. Cooking on a woodstove is an art form, you have to know where the hot spots are and where the "not so hot" spots are. Again, wonderful video, now I have to play in the woodpile myself!
that looked so incredibly yummy. would you know the celiac equivalent of the dough? I watch so many cooking shows, but my recipes never turn out the same.
just made this tonight and made a double batch and 1 pan is already gone. So far every recipe I have tried is a BIG hit!!! next is the goulash.
looks yummy I have a wood stove a cook stove with 4 burners use it only in the winter it serves two sources of heat to cook with and to heat a 6 room house thanks for sharing.
Oh so yummy!
Patara, would you consider doing a video about how you clean & maintain your Lodge Cast Iron. A great many people say it should never be put in water, ."you're just asking for rust", & I can see that with a dedicated frying pan such as your cornbread one, a good rub around with paper kitchen roll would be enough to get the crumbs out and then a spray or rub of light oil is applied? I think.. But, how do you deal with a pot like this Dutch Oven that's had fruit puree and cobbler stuck to it, or maybe a beef in burgundy/coq au vin type deal. I like your style of presentation also, your sincere but if needed brutal honesty about the down sides I can hear you saying – " …you want them rainbows, you gotta put up with the rain people" (even though you've never actually said it, it's one of my sayings) I was hoping you might put my request on a to do pile of projects for the winter. Thank You.
Love this Patara! Is the wood stove original to your home? Would love to see more about the wood stove and how you cook with it.
Just wanted you to know that I've been running this playlist today (video #43) because of the one you posted today. It will be running all night, supporting you & praying for your family.
