Planted the first seedlings today. may be last video for a while. Explained at end of video. Wife has had severe complications and went back in hospital. As I am uploading this video I got word they are moving her into intensive care. Having a very hard time caring anything about gardening right now. Thank you to all who have expressed concern. It has meant very much.

you sure have had a lot thrown at you lately, hope your wife starts to make a recovery soon. Maybe the gardening will be a distraction from the other worries…sometimes digging in the dirt of a garden takes my mind of things. take care
Very cool, you have got a really good start going.
what is the name of the 60 day broccoli?
Sorry to hear. Been in and out of hospitals with family myself over the past few years, living out of hospital rooms for months at a time, and went through a death. Much like college kids, I've noticed far too many doctors are at best, "medical school smart" and that's about it, sadly. Not to say there aren't decent doctors but, yeah. It gets annoying having to get across to them.
I'm sure you know this, but with the heavy antibiotics the hospitals use, be sure to have her get some probiotics. Yogurt, or a handful of the supplement types (but, because of processing and self life, few probiotic pills are that great). These seem to be rated good though and I have tried them: http://www.amazon.com/Renew-Life-Ultimate-Critical-Billion/dp/B000CMKC5Y
Hang in there. Some days you'd be nuts not to despair I've found, it's all draining as hell and you just want to get back home.
I am so sorry to hear about your latest problems with your wife, what a worrying time for you. I hope you both get through this episode in your life quickly and get back to good health.
If you want to just chat and get things off your chest just email me, there is always a friendly ear here. Take care my friend
Do what you have to do. Priorities are with loved ones, always. You and your brave wife are in my prayers.
Thanks for sharing your garden joys. Love borage and peppermint is VERY hardy, even in my zone 4/5. Love my herbs.
Mint is highly invasive. From what I have heard, Borage is too. My well wishes are with you and your family.
Shees Jay. Take your time, hope everything will blow over. That is just one thing after another. These doctors … Heard a few times about dutch practices in hospitals that went pretty wrong, and peeps that went back to the US to get proper treatment. Seems some of them doctors don't care that much about their patients, other then that they have to pay the bills they are sent. Best of luck to you and your fam.
Cheers
Mate get sorted all the best to your wife.
kool
Gosh, Jay. I am so sorry to hear of all the difficulties your wife is going through. I will be praying for her and you. I know how tough it is when someone you love is very sick. I hope by the time you get this she will be out of the hospital and feeling well. Take care my friend.
Am very pleased to learn that things have improved for you all Jay..
Am playing catch up with my fav's again & am sorry I missed this mate..
