  1. Great story.  Thanks for sharing.  I look forward to viewing past and future videos you are doing and learn more about permaculture-in-action.

  2. +permaculturerealist Hi Clint. Just want to take a few minutes to give you a well-deserved compliment. I scan a lot of videos. I watch fewer. I focus on or subscribe to very few. After watching one of your videos (raccoons), I subscribed because of your simple, honest, no-hype, no-nonsense, ethical approach. After watching several others of yours, I came across this one (chickens and ethics). It was after this video that I knew I'd made the right decision to invest my time to watch you describe your experiences.

I grew up in the South, but I've been away for a long time. Still, I know enough to know that the basic ideas behind permaculture wouldn't be very popular with a lot of people. Old ways, old thinking, just-follow-the-rut behavior. So, for me to see you, a good ole boy from Tennessee, not just adopting permaculture, but becoming a fine example of a practitioner of it, warms my heart and gives me hope. Permaculture is truly spreading far and wide.

Although I have just begun to investigate and learn about permaculture, I've had time to watch the videos of the big names. Some truly inspiring things there. However, I want you to know that those guys have nothing on you except experience and sloped land.

Your approach, as much or more than your results, is a fantastic, inspiring example for everyone. Keep up the great work!

  3. Hi Clint I just started following you on Instagram. I first saw a video you did about peace trees and was hooked. I did something good this fall as well, I took my neighbors leaves off there property. There was 17 x 55 gallon bags full, they where going to pay to dump them. I blasted all 17 bags threw my chipper and used it as mulch for my citrus trees.

  4. Your a great human being in a world of really crappy human beings. I hold these values myself, and if we as permaculturists can show me his kind of behaviour unanimously the world would be a better place. /bow
