Showing how the fruit trees are doing after the transplant. In a former video I used an unconventional transplanting technique and heavy pruning to avoid problems that come with root bound trees.

  1. Thanks for the update James. They don't appear to be booming but are definitely looking healthy. Hopefully they're sending out heaps of roots and getting established. I thought of you as I pulled a sick citrus on the weekend and replaced it with an avocado. The roots were still all tangled in the old pot shape but I was surprised that it had sent out some new long straight roots. I untangled the roots as best I could and relocated it more out of interest than anything. The fact that your trees are alive and well tells me what you did is worthwhile. No doubt they will take off next year.

  2. support species? ,every tree in our family has mates ,i try to have as many native support as possible ,but i have planted wisteria just cause it has mean flowers that, growing up i had to sweep off the driveway,so figured as a legume would make plenty of good dirt ,i also have an italian elder and sea buckthorn .rest are kowhai and kaka beak .got some winter green not doing that well any tips.
