  1. From an old auto mechanic, you gave a great explanation of how an internal combustion engine fires. But, you got VERY lucky. Never take off all your plug wires at once. Replace them one at a time to make sure you don't get a couple, or more, of them crossed. Just a tip. And on your vehicle the coil wire was the longest. On others, it may be the shortest or in between. But, it will generally have different boots on the end so you know. Job well done though! Oh, and great idea to change the plugs at the same time. Did you check the gap on the spark plugs before you installed them?

  2. It's nice to know you can do some of your own repairs/maintenance while on the road.

    * I recently used some Archoil products on my truck and it improved my MPG up 2 in city driving. I haven't had it on a long trip yet but that's not recommended at first because it helps for it to do its magic while sitting still. I was having an injector stiction problem and now it is fine. I thought I would mention it because it would be cheaper than a major engine repair. You can watch a good YouTube video about it at Long Long Honeymoon.

  3. certainly could use this video for a training manual on repairs to a dodge van to keep it running happily! forget about a Ford ever running happily or in their grumpier mode.

  4. Excellent explanation even if it was simplified, it definately gave people the gist of how the whole system works. Thanks you made it a whole lot less intimidating to change them out when needed.

  5. Most excellent!!! You should write up a basic car maintenance e-book for the lay person as your explanations/pictures/presentation were very well done! Who knows you might become an e-book writer/publishing mogul!!!!

  6. That was so interesting-loved your graphics. You make me wanna take an auto repair class so I can feel confident to take on repairs like that. Awesome video as always!

  7. This stuff doesn't come naturally to me, as a woman I really appreciate the time and effort taken on this video. Vlogs like this make us women who feel hopeless at engine repair feel like we can make an attempt. Thank you very much!!

  8. I know that you posted this 5 years ago, but I just saw it, and wanted to add a helpful hint. Whenever installing new plugs, brush on some anti-seize compound onto the spark plug threads, being careful to not to get it on the electrode. This prevents thread galling, and facilitates removing them at the next replacement interval.
