VIDEO: GGC – 35 – The Singing Sands of Basin Head Beach, Prince Edward Island

Part 31 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. After a late night of celebrating Canada Day, our Vanniversary, and our conquering of Canada, we recovered by walking around Charlottetown and then visiting the Singing Sands of Basin Head Beach.

  1. Another great video guys. It seem like you trip may be coming to an end. Looking forward to wherever you may travel in the future. I have certainly enjoyed your travel adventures. A little jealous … I wish I was able to have travelled like that when I was younger.

  2. Makes me realize even more how lucky we are to live close to PEI . We recommend if you travel back this way a trip to Magdalen Islands . The ferry leaves Souris PEI daily but you need reservations to go . It's beautiful there and the people are friendly .

  3. We also have singing sands in South Africa.  The Witsand Nature Reserve near Postmasburg in the Northern Cape is famous for its singing sand dunes, also known as the ‘Roaring Dunes’ due to the eerie sounds they make in the hot dry summer months.

  4. ARRR, Those be barnacles me Hardys! Cool to look at but a plague to whatever they attach to. They spread like warts and often sea dwellers like sea turtles become real estate 🙁

  5. The confederation bridge is like the 40th longest bridge. It’s technically not even the longest in Canada, St.Lawerence River Boarder crossing into NY has a series of joined bridges that stretch a longer span.
