A full account of our cross-canada road trip, from the east coast to the west coast to the arctic coast. Plus, how this epic adventure convinced us to live in our van for 2 years and eventually start homesteading.
We picked up a hitchhiker in the Yukon Territory of Northern Canada. During our 4 hour drive, he shared his inspirational story and taught us the importance of following our own dreams and not letting anyone else’s doubts hold us back.
A lot of you have asked how much our Eastern Canada Road Trip cost us, so we decided to go over our receipts and give you a full break down of all of our expenses. All prices are in Canadian Dollars.
The final installment of our Eastern Canada Road Trip. After crossing the Confederation Bridge from PEI to New Brunswick, we checked out the World’s Largest Lobster, saw a 23 year newer version of our camper van, and explored the Hopewell Rocks in the home of the highest tides on Earth, the Bay of Fundy.
Part 32 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. After only a few days on Prince Edward Island, it was unfortunately, already time to leave. But rather than take the ferry back to Nova Scotia, we decided to take the 12.9 km (8 mile) Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick.
Part 31 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. After a late night of celebrating Canada Day, our Vanniversary, and our conquering of Canada, we recovered by walking around Charlottetown and then visiting the Singing Sands of Basin Head Beach.
Part 28 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. After deboarding the 16 hour ferry from Newfoundland, we drove from North Sydney to Cape Breton Island. We then took two days to enjoy the magnificent ocean views while driving the World Famous Cabot Trail!

We checked out Jelly Bean Row, Signal Hill, and the Atlantic end point of the Trans-Canada Trail. Finally, we boarded the 16-hour ferry to Nova Scotia.
