VIDEO: GGC – 51 – Don't Let Anyone Else's Doubts Hold You Back

We picked up a hitchhiker in the Yukon Territory of Northern Canada. During our 4 hour drive, he shared his inspirational story and taught us the importance of following our own dreams and not letting anyone else’s doubts hold us back.

  1. New to your channel, I'm at a crossroads in my life, you have no idea how your story of Danny moved me to an ease at the choices I make as I move into another stage in my life. I was kind of frozen unable to decide. Much appreciated!

  2. You guys are awesome. What vehicle would you recommend for a 2 adult 2 young kid cross canada adventure? I love your dodge but need 2 more sleeping berths.

  3. I'm wiping the tears that freely flow down my cheeks, Thank you, for sharing Danny's story,,,and for keeping his presence alive. I'm sure he's dry fishing up there…watch for him in the Northern Lights.

  4. My parents were pulling their 5th-wheel camper near Yellowknife. A man was broke down and his car was in bad need of repair. Mom and dad took him for a six hour ride to get his car part. They never forgot this man. Hope he remembers my parents.

  5. I’m giving you a reading assignment. 1000 Days Of Summer. It’s online and free. Guy hitchhikes all over Asia on a 15.00 a day limit. It’s written in the same format of this video. You’ll love it.

  6. True wisdom usually doesn't come from books but from those who have found it while following their path and are willing to share it with others. Live each day as it is your last because, someday, it will be.

  7. Your storytelling is hypnotic! Starting on van life as a solo woman I am not sure I would have given Danny a ride but I am glad your gut told you too and we get to relive this with you. Fear has held me back my entire life. Listening to others fears didn't help either. That's part of the reason I am starting van life–to conquer my fears and to not let anyone else's doubts hold me back. Thank you for sharing.

  8. I'm seeing this three years after you posted it. What a powerful story and what a remarkable man your friend Danny was. Seems like he lived life on his terms and however short it was, I bet he had an impact on everyone he met along the way. I'm an elderly filmmaker, new at it, and what a beautiful and inspirational movie could be created about Danny. It's true, I believe, that we meet the people we're supposed to meet along our own journey in life and for a greater purpose – we just have to be open enough to discover what that purpose is. Peace and all good.

  9. This is still one of your favorite videos to watch. I enjoy the message, your storytelling and sharing it with others for inspiration. Thanks to you for sharing and Danny.
