  1. I'm not in Australia, but please know your service means a lot to your countrymen. My dad served in Vietnam and my brother served in Iraq and I'm proud of them and thankful to all our servicemen and women.

  2. Obviously a man who believes in random acts of kindness. What a wonderful thing to do. I would have had to pull off the road because I wouldn't have been able to see for the tears. I have never served in the military but I have the upmost respect for those who have. The battle of Vimy Ridge in France in 1917 is considered one of our nations finest moments. I took these photos when I visited the Canadian War Memorial there a few years ago. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dalecalder2003/albums/72157623793311582 only the first six photos in the set are from Vimy. As I was leaving the cemetery I noticed a small cupboard that had a guest book to sign and a map of the graves so I checked and there was on Calder there I went back and visited his grave and took a photo. Have a very Happy Christmas Mark.

  3. Cracking story Mark… I'm glad moments of kindness like that still happen in todays world and I think it was great that it happened to you. Have a great Christmas mate and a Happy New Year… I look forward to your videos in the New Year. Cheers, Adam

  4. <——- U.S. Military veteran here, thank you for serving Mark and you know I'm uncertain how many civilians actually realize how much it means to us to know of their appreciation and support. Pretty amazing experience you had and what a neat guy to have shown his support in passing. In a world of sometimes it seems constant turmoil stories like this gives us hope.

  5. too bad there aren't more people like him that appreciates the services. it's been many years since I was in the army but it still makes me feel good to have someone say "thank you for your service" and a merry Christmas to you .

  6. Great story, my father was in the marines during the latter half of wwii, always have and always will be proud of him. I inherited his medals and pictures from the war – treasured possessions

  7. Very good to hear of this experience! Thank you. My guess is that someone who would show his gratitude in such a tangible way is likely a credit to his community as well. Must admit I got soured long ago with people thanking me for my service but yet did nothing that was a credit to their community and making sure veterans had something decent to come home to.

  8. That's one helluvan effort on his part. Pulling your keys out of your pocket is hard enough with motorbike gloves on let alone a tena while in traffic on the bike. Great story Mark – Cheers
