I'm wondering if I can cut cost skipping cow panel and just rely on hardware cloth
Fantastic info. Thanks for posting!
I love it. Do you have any follow ups?
I have a corner section in my garden that would accommodate two square beds but only if I attach them making them 2 feet tall and the combined sum of the two together. Do you think that the cattle panel and wire can hold that shape?
The round version gives you more gardening space than does the square.
This is going to be fungal dominant soil biology given your ingredients so I would raise berries. Fungal dominant is best for berries and pasture. I would be tempted to start a goat dairy!! Goat milk is healthy for us and cow's milk is harmful to heart health as it contains xanthine oxidase.
I like it but how do you keep it from blowing away if you get a hurricane or high winds?
genius!
hey there, loved this video, felt completely inspired and bought some wire and started preparing the space for my beds, bud I have a really important question, since i dont have that much wood chips, can i use any other type of mulch instead for the outside layer, what happens if i dont use any mulch at all?
Does it work the same way with smaller beds ( 3×3 ft)?
I live in Tennessee zone 7. I ordered some citrus trees to plant in containers. I built one of these garden beds 4ft x 3ft x 2ft tall and put it in a plastic pallet so I could bring it in during winter. My question is: will it do ok in the soil like you showed us in the video?
Smart!
Can you do a 2'x8' raised bed this way? Would fit my planned area better. Putting a deer fence on one side.
I did this over the summer. I believe the one real benefit is less bending and weeding. I didn't see any real change with growth. The "air pruning" theory doesn't seem to add anything different, versus planting in rows or using wood or full metal supports for the raised beds. I like the concept because it's less expensive and tidies up the garden. Hopefully, I will be able to add a few more beds in the spring. I believe with the oncoming Socialist government we will need much more production from our gardens in the coming years now that this curse has fallen on our country.
Great idea for raised beds. Thank you, John
Very curious to see an update on your raised strawberry bed!
Thank you.

Excellent

Liked, love them, beautiful
What type of trees are at the end of the video? Thanks, good idea for raised beds.
That’s awesome. I have found my method. Thank you.
Great information
Can you grow fruit trees in these….??
What gauge wire did you use to fasten the mesh? I used zip ties for a temporary hold but I would like to make it more secure.
Gravel instead of wood chips and it'll last forever.
Does the grass or weeds under the raised bed ever grow into the raised bed over time?
you could put a second fence panel all the way around like 8" out further than the existing panel to replenish the wood chips as needed in the future.
