love all your tips. Very informative.
Very nicely thought out and clever drying station!
Do your customers know that the shelf life is longer?
Does it give you competitive advantage over other growers?
Do you have to wash all greens & micro greens or can you not wash them if they don't look dirty?
Great wok as always!!!!!!!!
good video Curtis thanks
cool idea. You ever create your own greens blend to sell t markets?
Is that room air conditioned? I want to do the same setup but I worry about too high of temperatures in my '3 seasons room". Could cause wilting.
Are you still planting micro greens in the ground, or are you only using the flats from now on, since you have built that room?
'feels … data based.' sounds more like scientists with a narrative basing data off what they feel like.
@Curtis, does this work with greens that aren't sprouts such as lettuce, and spinach? Have you tried things like chard, and mustard greens?
Curtis have You looked at a down draft sanding table design where the shop vac is hooked up to the underside of the table
The table has a grid of small holes to allow. air flow as soon as the small particles come off the wood they are swept off to the dust collector
for Your use I would put the fans on the side of the table with a plywood panel in the front so the air flow goes from the table top down and out through the fan
what type of bag do you use to contain your greens? air tight plastic bags or bags with vent holes so any moisture can vent ?
Hi Curtis, I like the idea, simple and cheap 🙂 wouldn't thought that drying greens extend their shelf life.
Could you do a video on packing the greens? Would like to see your methods of packing and delivering your produce. Great video yet again keep up the good work!
Is there no issue with using galvenized metal in this application?
Checked all your videos and done see one for the spinner – how you modified it for spinning your greens dry.
After watching this video, that table is much cooler than I initially thought it was.
This is great. Can I email you a pic when I set mine up?
What do u think about powdered microgreens? Do they loose value nutrients and stuffs?
And what about psychotropic plants would microgreens pack all the alkaloids of a mature plant? I'm thinking about plants that take years to harvest like wouldn't it be easier to microgreen harvest for alkaloids content dry them and sell them
Like example what I want to know mostly is about the iboga plant which take up to 5 years before harvesting and where to harvest is to take the root bark of the plant so all these plant are dying which will drive the specie to instinction
So I thought to save the species why not micro farm it but idk if they spung full of alkaloids which I assume they do
Is this room cool or warm? Approximate temp?
Can you offer more detail about he pulley system used to lift the fans? I can't see what's happening or how it's attaching above at the ceiling?
