  1. I live in south Texas and so what I found to help with the watering issue is to much especially with straw and for the soil that I use for my containers was Peat Moss, that was sourced from Canada where they have an endless supply because they actually produce more peat Moss a year than they harvest, then compost then my native soil which is Sandy Clay and I mix it until the drainage is it under 2 to 3 minutes and then I mulch 2-3 inches with straw or some aspen pet bedding any soil stays moist so far for couple of weeks that I rarely have to water

  2. Thanks for demystifying this topic I just got broccoli cauliflower and brussel sprouts that I put into grow bags and I out the broccoli and cauliflower in a 10 gallon brow bag with spinach.. I feel like I should separate them now though there are 4 broccolis and 4 cauliflowers in there so I'll probably split them up. Can spinach and brussel sprouts work in the same container?

  3. I LOVE broccoli and finally started some veggies this year. I have a yard but the best sun & level place is my deck. I made a planter out of a pallet for tomatoes & will add more. Out of my broccoli sprouts, 1 survived, it's a little late to plant & this is my learning curve year so I'm eager to learn how to help my little guy thrive & do better next year. Thanks! (I'm in Michigan). Also its trained a ton this week and it's been saturated so already getting useful info! Excited to finish the vid

  4. I'd like to see how the broccoli turned out when the 3 plants grew a bit in that little container. That would give me a better idea if a 3-gal is big enough.

  5. I am going to give this a whirl. I am growing in Arizona. I have never been successful with Broccoli. However I feel armed with all this new knowledge! I am going to try again and use containers this time:) Thank you!

  6. Hi Luke! I’ll be growing broccoli for the first time this year! I started it indoors already, but I didn’t realize it would germinate so quickly. It’s still small, but it’s growing under my grow lights. We won’t have our last frost until late February or early March. I’ll have to check to be sure, but I’ll harden them off and plant them outside in containers, three plants per container.

I’ve been watching your videos for many years now.

Thank you so much for sharing your gardening journey!
