Love me some sugar snaps! I can never grow enough. Love eating them right off the vine as well. YUMMY!
Love sugar snap pea's. There my go to sneak. I do let some good so as I can have a crop next year. Great video. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing such goodness.
These are my favorite peas! Love as a dipping veg with hummus, or for crunch in a salad and as you said, in stir frys ๐ So weird because I don't care much for shelled peas, but I do like split pea soup. Oh well. This video made me start to salivate!! lol
Do you find they're better blanched before freezing and or canning?
Have you ever made pea pod soup or used the new growth in a salad.? So good.
Thanks Patera. great vids. God Bless
Patara, sorry bout the spelling in previous comment. darn auto correct isn't correct.
Great video..Baker Creek is a wonderful company to do business with been getting my seeds from them for a couple of years now.. Have a great day ๐
I dont like peas, but i grow them each year for my little dog. He's my garden buddy and he just loves them. He'd eat peas as long as i stod there and pulled them. Same with carrots.
Delicious. As I shell I eat!
My 5 year old LOVES eating the greens and the yound pods straight from the garden.
Thank you for the information on sweet peas.
Nice video, IM doing them this year, how long after the seeds pop does the plant produce pods ready to eat? TY again!
I get the Super Sugar Snap peas seed. Find they are a bit sweeter and less stringy. I've tried about every variety of snow peas and they need to be picked about every other day or they get stringy. Super sugar snap can be picked once a week until the pea inside gets big and they are still sweet and most of the string comes off with the top. I use them mostly for stirfry with chicken or beef and I add raw Spanish peanuts for more crunch and flavor. I use a woven wire stock fence for my trellis. Almost any stir fry sauce will do or make your own. I freeze what I can.
Your voice has a tremendous similarity to the character "Patty Mayonnaise" from the OLD cartoon "Doug". It's incredible and awesome! Ty for the snap pea info!
