On the issue of people wanting more acreage to farm – remember 40 acres and a mule? That used to be the acreage people thought would make a family self sufficient. Today, with electricity, plumbing and modern tools and equipment, it's more like 1-2 acres and some knowledge and just a little work once in a while. That's my experience, you can feed your family on a couple acres and some well thought out design.
Great to see you both on the same video. On the high intensity topic I'm in zone 9a(70 days left till first frost, today was high of 96, low of 71) and I have a bush zucchini spacing question. I built a mound with three seeds, cut out the weakest one already. The remaining two are 5 inches apart about 7-8" tall. Shoud I cut out the second plant or let them both go into production. I've seen some people say that production is fine this close in a mound and these Bush varieties will grow apart. And I've seen other people insist that I've got to cut it down to just one plant. Which method is going to give me the best production? Thanks for all your great content, both gardens are inspiring.
