Once you open that big jar of garlic how long does it stay good for ? Weeks.. months ?
yummo
Mmmmm…looks great!!
Oh yum!!! ❤
No water?
A video like that can't be done justice without smellovision!
Yummmmm. Delish
Where are we gonna see your drunken turkey that you mentioned a while back?
I LOVE Trader Joe's too! I've been using HDP for over a month now, love love love it!
So good. May try this on the turkey for our Youth Group Thanksgiving on Wednesday night. I have a whole 1/2 gallon of it in my food storage. Bring on the Herbs de Provence!
just so you know… love it when you break out in song!
Good luck everyone getting the spice blend. I went to my Trader Joe's today in Livonia Michigan and was told it is a seasonal item and they stopped selling it in August. Maybe Patera can tell us when she got hers. I was all set to make this for dinner too. So bummed out!
Looks great, gotta try this tomorrow.
I get the biggest kick when you bust out singing when a random phase comes to your mind. Thanks for the laugh!
love that spice too! (and Trader Joe's) Have you tried their "21 Seasoning Salute"? Very nice too. Thanks for all you do 🙂
wow this looks fantastic!
Definitely considering to ask you to adopt me! Gooooood!!!!!
I've never made a whole chicken in the crock pot, can't wait to try this.
the grilled cheese I had tonight seems wanting…..looks delicious Patera
My old Crock Pot broke. What kind do you have or does anyone recommend?
About how much did the chicken weigh?
I love lavender!! I have never cooked with it, just done crafts. Going to have to try this
Miss P, where did you find your large jar of pink Himalayan salt? I love it, but I've never seen one that large. By the way……the chicken……YAAASSSS!!!! Also, a fine tasting homemade chicken salad could be created with this chicken picked, some chopped pecans, purple grapes, diced celery, golden raisins or dried cranberries…….just sayin, that seasoned chicken would be delicious in that as well. Thanks for sharing with us!!!
Lavender is a traditionally included herb in Herbs de Provence not originally from the French blend but for a very long time in the US
Sounds delicious!
Made a version of this today. Since I don’t have 5 to feed, just me, I used 1lb chicken breast strips (still frozen, so I added 1+ hrs to cooking time), a little chicken broth, white wine, and butter since I would not have the fat and juice from the whole chicken, homemade herbs de Provence mixture (forgot to add the lavender—dang!), amchur (East Indian green mango powder that tastes lemony), Celtic sea salt and freshly ground pepper, your exact same Costco minced garlic (I buy the big jar, then divide it into smaller jars which I freeze til needed)
Sorry, my comment below got sent before I finished it! Cooked it on high for about 5 1/2 hours, turned out great! Next time, I will try again to remember the lavender…
spectacular content Appalachia's Homestead with Patara. I crushed the thumbs up on your video. Always keep up the wonderful work.
I’m going to try this with leg quarters in the slow cooker.
