  1. I live in west Phoenix and if we get 10 days of rain per year it's a good year. I love the rain, but my Eskies (American Eskimo canines) don't like the yard too wet :-). Happy Thanksgiving to all of your family especially your turkey and of course Cochise.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving, Patara! How many cattle panels do you have dedicated to tomato plants? I was planning on 12 inch spacing for this coming spring (single stem pruning) but in my little garden that still only lets me get in 42 plants. I'm so jealous of all your space!

  3. Yep, that sound is WONDERFUL!  We have a steel roof and it's a sound with which we are Blessed nearly 8 months of the year up here in the Pacific NW.  It's so relaxing.  Happy Thanksgiving, Patara and to your wonderful family.  You inspire so many of us out here to work harder, speak sweeter and be better people.

  4. Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you & yours!! I love watching your shows!! It reminds me so much about my growing up. I'm long in the tooth at 63 & have always missed home. Blessings to you & yours, have a Merry Christmas & a Happy, Prosperous, Blessed New Year!!

  5. Thanks for the shoutout to us over here in North Carolina. It is so nice to see someone making dressing instead of stuffing. I grew up on dressing and it does not compare to stuffing.
We got rain too. It was so nice to see but did not last long enough. Usually by the time it comes over the mountains it dissipates for it reaches us but not this time we got a good shower. Now we just need more to come in.

  6. what do u use the wood ash for. I am 71 we have 1 acre (we used to raise feral cross hogs & sold them to pay for the ones we slaughtered to eat) I now have to plant my garden without a rototiller so I went to containers of all kinds. Anything I can plant in. I make my own soil and just wondering what u put the wood ash in your compost for. The mamas & Boar we kept because those are the ones that was special. Love your shows. I was raised on a working farm. Somehow even though you work it seems like always and are tired you are also satisfied when u say good night and thank you to God for his help.
